Sterlets and sturgeon have a unique feeding biology, making them very different to other pond fish. For example, they need a small, sinking food, and enjoy a natural diet rich in crustaceans, mollusc's and invertebrates. Tetra Pond Sterlet Sticks have a number of features that make them ideally suited for sturgeon. They are smaller than ordinary pond foods to match the narrow throat of sturgeon; they sink to match their natural feeding behaviour; and they contain higher amounts of protein and energy to reflect their natural diet. They are also formulated just for sturgeon, and not for other bottom feeding fish that have very different requirements.
