TetraTec BF Biological Filter Foam

Filter media for TetraTec EX range and other external filters. Efficient biological and mechanical filtration.

• High surface area to support growth of beneficial bacteria
• Reliably removes medium sized particles from aquarium water
• Rinse in lukewarm water prior to use. Clean as necessary in a bowl of aquarium water. To maintain biological activity, do not wash under tap water.
• Suitable for most external filters (ensure foams fit neatly into media basket).

TetraTec BF Biological Filter Foam doubles as a media for removing finer particles of solid waste, as well as providing a high surface area for bacterial activity. To operate the foams purely as a mechanical media for solid waste removal, clean them under tap water as necessary. To maximise their biological activity, clean them in a jug of aquarium water.
